Monday, January 1, 2024 -- Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God
In 2024, the January 1st Holy Day (Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God) falls on a Monday. Whenever the Solemnity of Mary falls on a Saturday or on a Monday, the precept to attend Mass is abrogated. While it is still a Holy Day, you do not need to attend Mass this year. No Mass will be offered at St. Francis Xavier.
