Holy Orders

“Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1536).

For 2000 years, men have answered God’s call to serve as deacons, presbyters, and bishops. These are the three orders of service that God has given to the world to continue the saving work of Jesus Christ in every corner of the world—from the battlefield to the state penitentiary to the local parish to the hospital room.

Anybody who is interested in pursuing a vocation should contact Fr. Meyers at the parish office as well as visit the Archdiocese’s Office of Vocations website.
