Attend a Latin Mass at St. Francis Xavier
STFX Church is offering a special Latin Mass in honor of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (not a Holy Day of Obligation this year). We will be saying Mass in Latin with the readings and homily being in English. Worship aids will be provided to help those that attend to participate fully in the Mass. The St. Michael Hymnal also has all of the prayers of the Mass in it with both the Latin and English side-by-side, so it will also be a great resource for those who wish to explore the relationship between our vernacular language and Latin (Church’s mother tongue).
