Scam Alert -- Beware of Scams!
Parishioners have received emails from someone impersonating Fr. Barnes. Here’s what to know and do:
· Fr. Barnes and church employees will never contact parishioners via text/email with an emergency request for cash or gift cards. Messages asking parishioners to help fulfill a need would come through official communication or in person.
· Often times, a scam can be identified by looking at the sender’s email address. If the email isn't from a “@stfxb.org” email address, then they can assume that it isn't from parish staff.
· Mark the emails as spam and delete them. Then, call the parish office, 763-684-0075, to notify parish staff.
