“For where two or three have gathered together in my name,” Jesus says, “I am in their midst” (Matthew 18:20). The Church necessarily requires communion in order to meet the demands of Her mission. This communion must first be centered on God, but then it must necessarily lead to a communion among the Church’s members.
In order to fulfill our purpose as a parish, the Church of St. Francis Xavier has several committees and councils that help advice the pastor in ministering to the needs of God’s people. These organizations consist of dedicated members of the parish who can offer their wisdom and expertise in advancing the Church’s mission by working together to make Jesus Christ known and loves.
“Jesus said, ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.'” -Matthew 28:19
